About the company
SIF Transilvania SA is an entirely private
and self managed closed-end fund. SIF Transilvania manages its own portfolio,
made up of stocks in about 450 Romanian companies. These companies are active in
such industries as chemicals, finance and banking, tourism, machine building.
The shareholders of the fund, in number of
about 8 million natural and legal persons, are either founders - owners, that
is natural persons who received shares of SIF Transilvania when the mass
privatisation process took place or new-investors, that is legal and natural
persons who have invested in SIF3 shares when they started being traded on
Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The company has 6 branch offices in

consulting services of several well-known companies such as Coopers &
Lybrand (USA) and Roland Berger (
SIF Transilvania is a full member
of the European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), located in

History
SIF Transilvania SA was established in November 1996. The company is a
successor of the Private Ownership Fund III Transilvania.
